1/2 inch polished finish 14KT gold round scapular medal. In the center of the medal is an icon of Mary as Our Lady of Mount Carmel holding the child Jesus in her lap. Around the outside border are inscribed the words, \"O Queen of the Holy Scapular, Pray For Us\". The back of the medal features additional Sacred Heart imagery (photograph of the back of medal will be added in the future). Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box.Mary appeared to St. Simon Stock in England in the thirteenth century, after he asked for help for his oppressed order. She appeared to him with a Scapular medal, signaling that it would provide protection for its wearer. Thus comes the Lady of Mount Carmel title and the affiliation with the Carmelite order.
