The Story Behind Our Vintage Transfers

The 1970’s were the golden age of shopping malls, and t-shirt shops were an ever-present tenant. Picking designs from an inventory of iron-on transfers, customers could easily get a custom t-shirt made in minutes.

Fast forward to today, and with these t-shirt shops long gone, these vintage transfers have become collector’s items. At Megadeluxe, from what we can tell, we are the only people selling vintage transfers heat pressed onto new tees. It wasn\'t easy. The hard part was figuring out how to get these ancient transfers to successfully heat press onto t-shirts. After many months of failure, we came up with our own recipe to revive these transfers, and to get them successfully heat pressed onto t-shirts.

And the results? These transfers are super-soft to the touch and not plasticky. Almost leather like in feel.
