This elegant necklace features a strand of exceptionally rare nucleus-free freshwater pearls from Japan’s Lake Biwa — known for producing some of the most luminous pearls in the world. Each 9–10mm pearl has been carefully hand-selected for its soft, natural glow and subtle variations that reflect its organic beauty.

Unlike most cultured pearls, these Biwa pearls are formed entirely without a nucleus, resulting in a thicker nacre layer, a silky, natural sheen, and lasting durability. Their gentle irregularity speaks to the natural growth process, making each necklace truly unique. Matching a full strand of such pearls is an increasingly rare craft, as fewer pearl farmers continue this time-intensive method.
