Fantastic 20th century lacquered side or console table attributed to John Dickinson for the illustrious design firm Randolph and Hein, San Francisco, California. The rare table features a zoomorphic 8 leg design supporting a thick rectangular top. Crafted from wood with an intentionally distressed patina having a craquelure or alligatored finish over the rich, dark woodgrains. Each leg ends with a hoof inspired foot as they are all conjoined on each side with a stretcher base. The thick top has shaped or clipped corners and a thick craquelure lacquer finish. The table is sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table is unsigned purported to be designed by John Dickinson for a grand mansion in San Francisco, California.
Dimensions: 26.25\"w x 21\"d x 25.25\"h
Circa: 20th Century, United States
Materials: Wood
Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery and construction. Intentionally distressed lacquer finish with craquelure texture as seen in photos. Age appropriate wear with minor chips, scuffs, and scratches that are difficult to see.
