They are made by tufting our TerraStrand yarns onto a primary backing and then bonding this looped top layer to a sturdy, slip-resistant base of hardworking vinyl, eliminating the need for a rug pad.

Made to retain their rich textures and distinctive hues through many years of use, Shag mats are quick to dry, free of phthalates, and resistant to staining, fading, mold, mildew, and chlorine. They are ideal for entryways, mudrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, porches, patios, pool areas, and beyond.

The Chilewich design team developed the Shag Mats with an eye to sustainability. Both new styles, Even Stripe and Duo Stripe, make use of existing surplus yarns rather than requiring the creation of new yarns.
